We are happy to announce that two of the 10 students who competed in the National High School Journalism Convention Write-Off competition received awards. They were among the 811 high school students honored nationally at the competition held Nov. 2. Nearly 6,000 attended the convention in Chicago
Dani’s Dreams sponsored the students in the contest as part of our Urban Media Project initiative, which helps high school students connect with the world by creating meaningful media.
Anna McNeely received Excellent in Yearbook Copy/Caption Writing/Academics, the second highest rating in the competition.
Jalynn Knight received Honorable Mention in Sports Writing.
